Policies & Notices
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 4, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to pickem.i8o8.com ("Free NFL Pick'em," "we," "us," or "our"), an i8o8 service. It describes information practices for the Free NFL Pick'em website itself. Other sites you choose to visit, including Slate and the i8o8 support site, have their own features and may have separate privacy practices.
2. Information you provide on the printed sheet
The Free NFL Pick'em sheet includes blank spaces for information such as a participant name, phone/email, pool/group, selections, and a tiebreaker. Those fields are part of the printable page only. The site does not provide an online form for those printed participant fields and does not receive or store what you write on the paper after printing.
3. Optional email list
If you choose to join the weekly pick-sheet email list, we collect the email address you submit, the UTC signup time, a short source label identifying which Pick'em page produced the signup, subscription status, and a random unsubscribe token. The email address is used to send and manage weekly pick-sheet communications. Messages are sent from noreply@i8o8.com with replies directed to support@i8o8.com. Every list message includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also contact support to request removal.
The email signup is optional. You do not need to join the list to view, print, download, or share a pick sheet.
4. Information collected automatically
When you request a page, ordinary web-server and security logs may automatically record limited technical information, such as:
- IP address and approximate network information;
- date and time of the request;
- requested URL and HTTP status;
- browser or user-agent information;
- referring page, when supplied by your browser; and
- error, abuse-prevention, and security-event information.
We use this information to deliver the site, diagnose errors, maintain reliability, protect the server, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
5. First-party analytics, cookies, and advertising
Free NFL Pick'em uses a limited first-party event log on the same server to understand whether the free resource is useful. It can count events such as page views, print-sheet opens, PDF and PNG downloads, share-button use, clicks from Pick'em to Slate, email-list signups, and unsubscribe actions.
The first-party analytics file may record the UTC event time, event type, requested path, NFL season/week, campaign labels supplied in the URL, referring host when supplied by the browser, and a short non-personal event label. The analytics file is intentionally designed not to store an email address, the picks written on a sheet, or an IP address. Ordinary Apache, mail, and security logs may separately contain technical information described above.
The site does not use a third-party analytics service, behavioral-advertising tracker, tracking pixel, or advertising network. A secure first-party PHP session cookie may be used to protect the optional email signup form against cross-site request forgery; it is not used to build an advertising profile.
6. How information is disclosed
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Limited technical information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, security, or support providers as necessary to operate and protect the service. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, investigate security incidents, or protect users and systems.
7. Slate and other links
Free NFL Pick'em is intentionally designed to promote Slate, an associated i8o8 service. If you follow a link or QR code to Slate, or open the i8o8 support site, your browser makes a new request to that destination. Information collected there is governed by the practices and policies of that destination.
8. Data retention
Technical and first-party analytics logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, measurement, security, troubleshooting, fraud or abuse prevention, backup integrity, and legal obligations. Email-list records are retained while the address remains on the list or as reasonably needed to honor removal requests and maintain operational records. Retention can vary by data type and operational need.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the site and information associated with its operation. No internet transmission, server, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children
Free NFL Pick'em is a general-audience sports utility and is not directed to children under 13. The site does not ask visitors to create an account. The optional email list is intended for adults managing or participating in football pools. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected through a feature covered by applicable children's privacy law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies, you may have rights concerning personal information, such as rights to access or know, correct, delete, restrict certain uses, opt out of certain disclosures, or receive equal treatment for exercising privacy rights. Because Free NFL Pick'em has no user accounts and collects very little information, we may not be able to associate ordinary server-log entries with a particular person without additional information.
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act when it applies. Free NFL Pick'em does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. A browser-based opt-out preference signal therefore does not change Free NFL Pick'em's current advertising behavior because that behavior is not used here.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, law, or our practices change. The effective/last-updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before or when they take effect, as appropriate.
