Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to pickem.i8o8.com ("Free NFL Pick'em," "we," "us," or "our"), an i8o8 service. It describes information practices for the Free NFL Pick'em website itself. Other sites you choose to visit, including Slate and the i8o8 support site, have their own features and may have separate privacy practices.

2. Interactive sheet information

The Free NFL Pick'em sheet lets you enter a participant name, phone/email, pool/group, selections, and a tiebreaker before printing. Your name, phone/email, and pool/group are remembered in this browser's local storage and automatically filled in on future weeks and seasons, while your picks and tiebreaker are stored separately for each week. This information stays on this device and does not sync to other browsers or devices.

Browser printing uses the information already on the page. If you request a personalized PDF or PNG, the current entries are submitted to the Pick'em server to render the requested file. The application does not intentionally write those participant fields or selections to its server-side Pick'em data files as part of the personalized-download feature.

Newly generated PDF and PNG sheets include machine-readable season, week, selections, tiebreaker, and participant name data so Check My Picks can read them accurately. The participant name identifies whose results you are reviewing. The embedded data does not include phone/email or pool/group fields. The checker may also read the name from the visible name field; you can correct it before scoring. Names are not saved to an account or included in analytics. When you upload a supported sheet for checking, the file is read temporarily, deleted immediately after processing, and not retained as an uploaded document.

3. Optional email list

If you choose to join the weekly pick-sheet email list, we collect the email address you submit, the UTC signup time, a short source label identifying which Pick'em page produced the signup, subscription status, and a random unsubscribe token. The email address is used to send and manage weekly pick-sheet communications. Messages are sent from noreply@i8o8.com with replies directed to support@i8o8.com. Every list message includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also contact support to request removal.

The email signup is optional. You do not need to join the list to view, print, download, or share a pick sheet.

4. Information collected automatically

When you request a page, ordinary web-server and security logs may automatically record limited technical information, such as:

• IP address and approximate network information;
• date and time of the request;
• requested URL and HTTP status;
• browser or user-agent information;
• referring page, when supplied by your browser; and
• error, abuse-prevention, and security-event information.

We use this information to deliver the site, diagnose errors, maintain reliability, protect the server, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Browser storage, cookies, analytics, and advertising

The site uses first-party browser storage for features such as remembering participant details across weeks and preserving a week's in-progress picks, and may use first-party cookies for site functions such as sessions, attribution, or migration handling. Free NFL Pick'em also records limited first-party event analytics, such as page views, downloads, print actions, share actions, email-list activity, and outbound Slate clicks. These application analytics are designed not to include the participant name, phone/email, pool/group, or individual pick selections entered on the sheet.

The site does not intentionally use third-party behavioral-advertising trackers or advertising networks. If these practices materially change, this policy will be updated and any notice or consent required by applicable law will be implemented.

6. How information is disclosed

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Limited technical information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, security, or support providers as necessary to operate and protect the service. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, investigate security incidents, or protect users and systems.

7. Slate and other links

Free NFL Pick'em is intentionally designed to work with Slate, an associated i8o8 service. If you follow a link or QR code to Slate, or open the i8o8 support site, your browser makes a new request to that destination. Information collected there is governed by the practices and policies of that destination.

If you choose Load from Slate, Pick'em opens a Slate page that uses your existing Slate sign-in session, or asks you to sign in if needed. After authentication, Slate sends the display name and saved team selections for the requested regular-season week to the Pick'em page that opened it. The transfer is initiated by you, is limited to the requested week, does not include your Slate password, and is used to populate the local printable sheet. Pick'em does not import your Slate account credentials.

8. Data retention

Participant details stored in browser local storage remain until the user selects 'Forget saved details' or clears browser/site storage. That control also removes participant details from any previously saved weekly sheets in this browser without deleting their picks or tiebreakers. The sheet's 'Clear Picks' control clears that week's picks and tiebreaker but keeps the saved participant details for future weeks. Browser settings, private browsing, or site-data removal can prevent or delete this storage. Personalized PDF/PNG submission values are processed to generate the requested file and are not intentionally retained in the Pick'em application's participant data. Files submitted to Check My Picks are deleted immediately after they are read; the application does not retain the uploaded document or write its detected selections to participant data. Technical logs and first-party analytics are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, security, troubleshooting, measurement, backup integrity, and legal obligations. Email-list records are retained while the address remains on the list or as reasonably needed to honor removal requests and maintain operational records.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the site and information associated with its operation. No internet transmission, server, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children

Free NFL Pick'em is a general-audience sports utility and is not directed to children under 13. The site does not ask visitors to create an account. The optional email list is intended for adults managing or participating in football pools. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected through a feature covered by applicable children's privacy law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies, you may have rights concerning personal information, such as rights to access or know, correct, delete, restrict certain uses, opt out of certain disclosures, or receive equal treatment for exercising privacy rights. Because Free NFL Pick'em has no user accounts and collects very little information, we may not be able to associate ordinary server-log entries with a particular person without additional information.

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act when it applies. Free NFL Pick'em does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. A browser-based opt-out preference signal therefore does not change Free NFL Pick'em's current advertising behavior because that behavior is not used here.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, law, or our practices change. The effective/last-updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before or when they take effect, as appropriate.
